Responsible innovation in dietary supplements to be discussed at FDA public meeting


As part of a continuing effort to modernize and reform the oversight of dietary supplements, the Food and Drug Administration announced a public meeting on May 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. to canvass ideas on facilitating responsible innovation.

The event will take place at the Wiley Auditorium at the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, U.S. Food and Drug Administration 5001 Campus Dr., College Park, Maryland.

In order to make special disability accommodations, call Juanita Yates at 240-402-1731 or email her at juanita.yates@fda.hhs.gov by May 1. This is also the deadline to request an opportunity to make an oral presentation.

Registration is online at the Joint Institute for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition website. Early registration deadline is May 6.
