Schiller serves as the FDA's principal associate commissioner for policy. In this role, Mr. Schiller is responsible for overall leadership of FDA's Office of Policy, manages agency-wide processes for the development of regulations and guidance, and provides leadership and support on a broad range of policy issues including hemp.
NEW NIHC SPEAKERS:
- Lowell Schiller, principal associate commissioner, FDA
- Edwin "Ed" Elfmann, senior vice president, agricultural and rural banking policy at American Bankers Association (ABA).
- Lucy Infeld, associate, and Chris Strunk, counsel, Beveridge and Diamond
The rift between federal and state law has left banks trapped between their mission to serve the financial needs of their local communities and the threat of federal enforcement action. Attend to hear more from the ABA's perspective.
Lucy Infeld, associate, and Christopher Strunk, counsel for Beveridge & Diamond, will speak about "The Current Legal Regulatory Framework on Industrial Hemp". Their presentation will discuss the road to success and profitability, while considering how to manage the minefield of legal and regulatory information overload in this ever-changing industry.
